The MVS 3.8J and Hercules section of my site
This section of my website is focused on using MVS 3.8J running under the Hercules hardware emulatorThe wikipedia entry for the hercules emulator. Many links found on this section of my site will take you to external sites. This is simply because a lot of people have put a lot of time and effort into producing documentation and tutorials on using MVS 3.8J producing information far better than I could do so, so where appropriate the links will take you to their sites.
There are various flavours of the hercules emulator available, I have documented the selecting and installing the hercules emulator steps needed to install hercules.
Once installed there are many different operating systems available that I am aware of in addition to MVS3.8J that you may be interested in playing with.
There is a running live MVS3.8J system you can logon to and play with hosted here, under the "live system" tab in the menu at the top of the page.

- 2023/09/10 -local site- new container images for mvs3.8j, now has a custom version of ctcserver embedded within the image to chat to CTCSERV on the mvs3.8j system so you do not need one externally
