This is a quick walk through on how to use Queue to view syslog output on the TK3 version of MVS3.8J.

Note: video seems to buffer before sound, there is sound you may just need to go back to the start of the video after it has been playing for a while.

It is important to note (as mentioned in the walktrough) that Turnkey3 does not write syslog output to spool by default. It must be manually enabled either at IPL time with a command from JES2PARM or COMMND00 or interactively at any time after the IPL by issuing the command from a console.

The command is V SYSLOG,HARDCPY,STCMDS.

Also as mentioned in the walkthrough syslog spooled output is buffered by the system so what you can view at the end of the spooled output will not contain what is currently shown on the consoles.

You should also write your spooled syslog data from spool to printer or disk to avoid the spool filling up, using a job such as the example shown in this video on this page.
