Usefull program – ZULUPAD

Finally found a program on the web that is really usefull. Suggest you all have a look at zulupad.

Basically its a standalone wiki for windows. But much easier to use than a web based wiki. Unfortunately this is a windows only application.

Another major difference between this and a web based wiki is that these are your notes, they live on your PC so are totally private, but enjoy all the document linking available from a web based wiki. The free one of course doesn’t have rich text or the ability to embed images etc (the later always a pain to do in a real wiki anyway so why introduce the pain at home). The free version satisfies all my needs even though it seems development on the free one has stopped as the paid version is following a different development tree.

If you are one of those people that use sticky-notes programs to remind yourself of where things are and how to do things then give this a look. The ability to link from one page to another means that even a hard to find note is only a few clicks away.

I’m still using the free version, it has all the functionality I need.
It’s hard to describe; but I think this program will be installed on my PC for a long time to come.
I may even eventually look at the paid version, but as it is on a seperate development tree (according to the FAQ) I may not, just in case the features I am starting to really like start changing. The free version is a beautifull piece of software and also very simple to use, going to a more feature rich version may make it harder to use.

But I would suggest you take a look at it.
