Children running around in bare feet, or myself

Ok, I don’t have any children. But I was one once. And I still run around the house in bare feet.

I was reminded yesterday of something any child could have told me however. Namely that if you run around in bare feet long enough your toes will eventually collide with an unmoveable object. Fortunately most children don’t know the words I used when the inevitable happened… although the neighbours children might know them now as the window was open.

Don’t think I broke any of the toes, not that it matters as you can’t put a cast on toes. It was of course the foot used for the car accelerator and brake pedals so the traffic jams on the way to work were extremely painful.

While I will probably walk with a nasty limp for a few days; when summer comes around again I will have forgotten the pain and be running around in bare feet again; and the inevitable will happen again.

Soon I will probably have a post on climbing trees; I’ve found one that needs to be climbed. I’ll just have to try to be a bit more careful; or at least not land head first.
