Popped into the second hand book store in Petone today as I saw a Scrooge McDuck comic in a tray near the front.
They had 17 Walt Disney (Donald Duck/Scrooge McDuck/Mickey Mouse/Beagle Boys etc) comics that had been sold to them a few days ago. “Had” being the operative work, they don’t have them now :-).
They were a bit worn so not really collectable condition and I already had some of them, but I wasn’t going to go home and check my collection first, they may not have been there tomorrow. They were way under-priced at $3 each, I felt a bit guilty as you would be unable to get them even in tattered condition for under $10 each in any other second hand shop.
So I’ll read them in the weekend and then try and figure out how to fit them into the already overstuffed bookcase with the few hundred I already have.
