Well theres a bit of exitement over tomorrow nights lotto, with $35mil up for grabs now, that must go. Probably no first division winner again so it needs to be split over the winners of the second division; or third division if no second division winners in which case it might not be much. Got myself a ticket anyway.
Got motivated to check online the tickets I had been collecting since January; not a lot of joy there. $48 on one, $35 on another, one free big wednesday line (oops, better get that in for tomorrow as well) and thirteen free strike lines (from which in the past I’ve never one anything but free strike lines).
So not really a big return on over $250 worth of tickets so far. But the only three times I didn’t buy a ticket the place(s) I decided not to buy it sold a fisrt division the first time, and second divisions the other two times. Of course if I had actually purchased tickets I wouldn’t have gotten the winning ones anyway but still, I’m obviously good luck to other people.
Anyway, got my ticket for tomorrow.
If the web site seems faster next week it will be because it will be running from a rack of supercharged servers in a beer cooled data center with manual temperature guages (beer taps) every few feet. However it is most likely that you will be getting the same slow response times as I don’t think fate intends for me to win vasts amounts of money and retire before I’m ninety-five. But at least I can start planning just in case, I suppose the fire sprinkler system had better not use alcahol, the big question is should the stomach pump(s) be racked or portable ? (now thats planning). Finding staff shouldn’t be a problem though.
I wonder how many doggie and cat toys I could buy for my boys with $35mil ?.
