More expense, another burst pipe

What a morning. Sleep interrupted by my pager, all that was sorted.

Then I got up this morning, and realised I had to interrupt someone elses day, an urgent call to a plumber; there is not supposed to be water flowing out of the vanity cabinet in the bathroom. The only good thing it that it seems the pipe started leaking only about 10mins before I noticed it so there wasn’t much water on the floor (this time).

Had to throw everything out of the cupboards to find the leak. It was a pretty tiny leak but throwing out a lot of water under fairly high pressure, in such a narrow stream of water I couldn’t even see it, just feel it. Put a bowl under it and had to empty it every 5mins.

Plumber came and went, apart from the work done callout fee was $159 on its own; but at least the floor won’t be flooded this time. Lucky it didn’t happen overnight.

The annoying thing is I intended to get to the market for some veggies, and pick up that replacement disk drive I need on the way back. Well the markets and PC shop have closed by now. I guess I fix my failed server next weekend then.
